Soil Position
Prefers a full sun/part shade position. Enjoys a well drained, orgainic rich soil. Dahlia's in particular thrive in neutral or alkaline soils, so adding lime to acidic soils is very beneficial.
Cultivation
Dahlia's are an excellent cut flower. Staking may be necessary for support of the plant. Dahlia's like to be picked, and this will produce flowers for a longer period.
